So you're thinking about booking a session or maybe you already have, great! We have just a few things that will help you get the most out of your session!
First, training - having different reliable behaviors can help get the most out of each session. Behaviors I recommend the most are: down, sit, hold/take, head down, wave, touch, place, sit pretty, bow, be shy, stand, wearing props, all with as much duration as possible! If you need help getting the behavior, I would recommend the Academy of Dog Training and Agility to help! www.academyofdogtraining.com . If you don't have everything, not to worry, we will work with what you have.
Second, grooming - please remember to have all grooming, you want in your photos, done before your session, including: baths, brushing, stripping, trims, blow dries, nail trims, wiping of eye corners (immediately before session). I will capture your dog as it is in front of me on the day.
Third, treats - YES! Bring treats, bring toys, we want happy dogs. We want the dogs to have a good time, so we can have a good time. We will use positive reinforcement techniques, for every session.
Fourth, attitude matters - I cannot stress enough we are here for the dogs and to have fun. The dog, the photographer, the owner(s) and any helpers all need to work together, so lets promote teamwork to make the dream work!
